Day 1: Flight to ManaguaUpon arrival at the airport, meet and transfer to Granada . Overnight at Granada hotel.
Day 2: Granada - Masaya Volcano - GranadaAfter breakfast, transfer to Masaya Volcano National Park, which has an area of 54km² that includes two volcanoes and five craters. A paved road takes us to the edge of the impressive and active Santiago crater. It is one of the few places in the world where a crater can be observed at such a short distance. Transfer back to Granada, we visited the city, one of the most beautiful in Central America: the La Merced Church, the Crossed Street, the Church of Xalteva, the Cathedral and the Church of Guadalupe, the Convent Museum of San Francisco. Overnight at Granada hotel.
Day 3: Granada - Mombacho Volcano - Isletas - GranadaAfter breakfast, we visit the Mombacho Volcano Natural Reserve; from the dry region of Sabana to the base of the volcano, passing through coffee farms, entering the forest of clouds and light humidity. Once at the top, we begin the journey along a 2.5 kilometer trail, along which we will discover an unusual collection of orchids, ferns, butterflies, birds and if the weather favors us we can enjoy a beautiful view of Granada and its surroundings . In the afternoon we visit the channels of the charming Isletas, an archipelago of more than 300 islands located at the foot of the impressive Mombacho Volcano. Transfer back to Granada
Day 4: Granada - Laguna ApoyoBreakfast at the hotel and transfer to Laguna de Apoyo one of the most beautiful lagoons in Nicaragua formed by a volcanic crater. Its abundant biodiversity and the calm waters of the lagoon make of Apoyo an inescapable destination, in which we can swim, sail in kayak or simply walk while we admire the landscape. Accommodation next to the lagoon, where at night we admire the flight of hundreds of fireflies
Day 5: Laguna Apoyo - LeónBreakfast at the hotel and transfer to the Colonial city of León, former capital of Nicaragua, founded in 1610. We visited the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, one of the most beautiful in the continent and the largest in Central America, declared a World Heritage Site in 2011. In it, the remains of the poet Rubén Darío rest among other important characters. We also visited the Rubén Darío House-Museum and the art center of the Ortiz-Gurdián Foundation. Overnight at León
Day 6: León - Cerro Negro - LeónBreakfast at the hotel and transfer to Cerro Negro Volcano, the youngest volcano in Nicaragua and currently active. We start a walk from the base of the volcano along a stone path to the summit from where we will have an incredible view of the Los Maribios volcanic chain. We recommend (optional) descend with surfboard from the summit, an unforgettable experience! After the descent, we return to the city of León.
Day 7: León-Managua-airport-San Carlos-El CastilloBreakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the capital, Managua to fly to San Carlos, next to Lake Cocibolca and the entrance to the jungle area of Río San Juan. Transfer from the airfield to the port to embark towards El Castillo, a town founded by the Spaniards in the sixteenth century to defend the area from the attack of the pirates who were going up the river from the Caribbean. Day 8: El Castillo - San Juan del NorteEarly in the morning, we boarded a boat to San Juan del Norte. Transfer from the port to the lodge, unique in the area. Walk around to observe flora and fauna. At night, observation tour of alligators, sloths and other nocturnal species. Full board and accommodation at the lodge
Day 9: San Juan del NorteBreakfast at the hotel. Visit the Indio Maíz Reserve in sailing along the river and the Greytown Cemetery. Full board and accommodation at the lodge
Day 10: San Juan del Norte - ManaguaBreakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airfield and return to Managua.
Day 11: Managua-Corn Island-Little Corn IslandFlight to the Corn Islands. Upon arrival, transfer to the port to board Little Corn Island, only accessible by sea. Transfer to the hotel
Day 12: Little Corn IslandFree on the island for rest, diving, snorkeling
Day 13: Little Corn IslandFree day.
Day 14: Little Corn Island-Corn Island-ManaguaAfter breakfast, transfer by boat to Big Corn Island. Transfer from the port to the aerodrome. Flight to Managua. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel
Day 15: Managua - AirportAfter breakfast, transfer to airport to take the flight back.
Day 16: ArrivalArrival at your city.
Curiosly little known, it is the paradigm of Central American exuberance; volcanoes, jungles colonial cities, lost islands in an unprecedented Caribbean and above all, the endearing character of its people.
