Sardine Run - trip of in South Africa

The biggest hunt in the world

The migration of the sardines occurs in the South African coast following the cold currents that rise along the East coast of the continent during the months of June and July. It is the largest migration in the world in terms of number of animals. The immense school of sardines, which can exceed 20 kilometers long and 60 meters deep, is pursued by predators by air and sea in what is known as "the greatest hunt in the animal kingdom."
